Health Insurance Tip:
Buy Maternity Insurance Before You Need It
Most maternity insurance riders (which cover the cost of a baby's birth) will not pay out unless the policy was in effect for between nine months and 21 months prior to the actual birth. This means that you need to have maternity coverage before you get pregnant. So, if you think you may become pregnant at some point in the future, it's a good idea to invest in maternity insurance well before that time arrives or you'll be unprotected by insurance!
